Personnel Tracking

IPS Indoor Positioning System™ by Teldio

Indoor Positioning System for Employee and Asset Management Tracking
The Indoor Positioning System allows companies to locate and track employees and assets using any Bluetooth device capable of being in "discoverable mode" at all times, including MOTOTRBO radios equipped with a Bluetooth Adapter, smartphones and Bluetooth tags. The solution provides real-time location-based data of radio and mobile phone users using strategically placed Bluetooth Positioning Beacons installed in key areas of a facility. Real-time data is unique to IPS as it piggybacks on the existing LAN.

IPS provides the backbones necessary to enable system integrators to create intelligent location-based services, such as emergency response, panic alerting, guard touring, entrance/exit control, critical area protection, and intelligent lone worker solutions. Specifically, IPS can be used in conjunction with Teldio's Alarm Control System (ACS) to route emergency notification messages to a person according to his or her location within a building. For example, a fire alarm triggered in a specific building can be routed to a radio user within that building to minimize response time.

Users can also choose to monitor asset movements by using the web graphical interface of the facility's floor plans where all paired Bluetooth devices are identified by name and job title.

IPS can also be implemented to define unsafe (or safe) areas to activate (or deactivate) Teldio's Centralized Lone Worker application ensuring greater worker safety when radio users are in high-risk situations.

CLW Centralized Lone Worker™ by Teldio

Centralized Lone Worker Applications for Worker Safety
The Centralized Lone Worker application provides organizations with additional employee safety and security for those who carry MOTOTRBO radios. CLW ensures that the worker is not in a dangerous situation by monitoring their response to a text message sent to the radio at predefined intervals of time. By acknowledging this text message, the employee confirms their wellbeing.

For greater flexibility in the solution, CLW can be activated in one of three ways:

1 - Manual Activation
The worker enables CLW by the press of a button on their radio.

2 - Schedule-based Activation
CLW is enabled automatically during a certain period of time every work day, based on the radio worker's schedule. For example, from 10pm to midnight, a security guard does his rounds alone. CLW is activated and he is pinged at predefined intervals during this time to ensure his safety.

3 - Location-based Activation
When paired with Teldio's Indoor Positioning System (IPS) zones can be created to enable or disable CLW depending on the worker's location. For example, CLW could be disabled when a worker enters the cafeteria for his lunch break, and automatically reactivated once he leaves this safe zone.

When a radio receives an 'Alive Check' message, the worker has a predefined amount of time to respond. Quick texts can be pre-programmed to facilitate a quick and efficient response. If the employee does not respond in the given timeframe, an alarm is sent through Teldio's Alarm Control System (ACS) to notify the appropriate personnel.

MDN Man Down Notifier™ by Teldio

Centralized Lone Worker Applications for Worker Safety
Teldio's Man-Down Notifier (MDN) is an intelligent solution that provides proactive surveillance of employee wellbeing and dispatches automatic emergency notifications to the appropriate response individuals or groups when the need arises. To do this, MDN monitors workers by detecting a lack of movement, a horizontal tilt, or a combination of both. MDN parameters can best detect when an employee may have suffered a fall or been victim of an incident on the work site because the application recognizes that not all tasks are completed when standing up-right. The point of reference of the application (or its 0° mark) is renewed every time the radio is powered on to give the solution greater flexibility. To ensure that the worker does not set off a false alarm, an audible pre-alarm is activated prior to sending the MDN emergency notification to the central Teldio server. The worker can easily cancel the pre-alarm by simply pressing the OK button on the radio keypad. In the event that an MDN alarm is activated, a loud audible beacon facilitates response teams to better locate the fallen worker.

MDN resides on the generic MOTOTRBO option board in an MDN-enabled radio and communicates with a central server to dispatch the emergency notification when need be. All Teldio applications can be housed on this central server. In the event of an emergency, the solution automatically dispatches automatic emergency notifications to the appropriate response individuals or groups. The solution is a cost-effective and potentially lifesaving way of detecting if a worker has had a fall or accident, providing workers with an additional safety net when they are on the job.

Alarm Management

ACS Alarm Control System™ by Teldio Inc.

Intelligent Alarm Management
Alarm Control Systems (ACS) can drastically raise the level of efficiency and safety in a workplace. ACS is a software application that automatically dispatches safety and business critical alarms to MOTOTRBO digital radios and other mobile devices. If an alarm is raised the Alarm Control System will immediately identify the available employee responsible and escalate the alarm until it's acknowledged, resolved, and closed. This intelligent alarm management software dispatches notifications to the right person, at the right time, in the right manner.

1 - To the right person
ACS uses an integrated scheduler where timetables, locations and employee skillsets are registered. The software pairs the scheduler data with the alarm information, and dispatches the notification to the best person for the job.

2 - At the right time
Alarms are defined by a level of importance so that they can be prioritized. Critical alarm notifications are set to be dispatched immediately, while less important alarm notifications can be delayed until the right resources are available.

3 - In the right manner
Alarms can be dispatched to several media end points including MOTOTRBO radios, SMS, email, paging systems and relays.
